Background Information
The largely industrial land surrounding Wembley’s landmark National Stadium is the site of a large-scale mixed use redevelopment project designed to revitalise the area’s social, economic and environmental wellbeing. Quintain Estates and Development PLC (QED) own approximately 70 acres of this land. Buro Happold has assisted QED in developing a Masterplan for the biggest makeover of Wembley since the 1920’s creating a spectacular new urban environment and enhancing the experience of visitors to the new National Stadium and the Wembley Arena.
Project objectives
Happold Safe & Secure developed a security masterplan for the estate. Our secuirty consultants specified security systems for the Arena Square and the adjacent facilities which serve as a gateways to Wembley Park Boulevard.
Key successes
The Wembley Regeneration project was a triumph for multi-disciplinary engineering. In testament to the work provided, QED have invited HS&S to continue developing the security systems for future phases of the masterplan.
