Andrew Sieradzki BSc CEng FCIBSE FIEE Eur Ing
Group Director - Discipline Leader

Andrew’s unique expertise lies in "closing the loop" and ensuring that security and control systems are thought through from strategic concept to systems implementation and operation. Much of his work requires confidentiality both at Board level in defining corporate strategy and his liaison with security agencies. He has extensive experience in assessing security requirements, as well as hands on experience in delivering integrated solutions. He worked as an independent consultant prior to joining Buro Happold, and has brought expert knowledge to key integrated security and safety projects. He has a track record of providing system solutions for complex control requirements, including a number of bespoke solutions developed and manufactured into microprocessor equipment used in Blue Chip environments in the UK. His recent assignments have included working on the Wembley Security Masterplan, Emirates Stadium and Ascot Racecourse, together with UK Government Agencies on major infrastructure projects. He also continues to provide support for UK and International learned societies in developing and encouraging technical competences and rigour into the security discipline.

Andrew is well known in the industry, and this has led to being appointed as a sector expect on the Institution of Electrical Engineers’ ‘Presidents List’, and sits on the Institution of Civil Engineers - Register of Security Engineers and Specialists' (RSES) steering group.

Andrew Kelly MEng CEng MIET MCIBSE 
Associate Systems Consultant

Andrew Kelly joined Happold Safe & Secure in 2003, following a Master’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield. He brings leading edge thinking in controls technology and systems to the team. He is currently project leader on a variety of projects, including the design, specification, and technical assurance of security systems for a major sports stadium, and a number of district CCTV surveillance systems.

Andrew has made use of his Software Engineering skills to push forward R&D into the production of unique CAD based software to allow visualisation on layout drawings of CCTV camera coverage, to enable clients, architects, installers and other stakeholders to have an insight of the performance of their proposed system. The technology has been combined with many aspects of the design process including light level plots to establish night-time viewing.

More recently, Andrew was involved in the pilot for the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES) and successfully made it into this groundbreaking Register.

Peter Hurry GM MSc F Syl FRSA
Associate - Head of Strategy

Peter enjoyed a successful 28-year career as an officer with the British Army. Subsequently, he was the Country Manager for Kroll Associates in Saudi Arabia, bringing to Buro Happold a wealth of diverse experience when he joined in 2007.

He became a Fellow of the Security Institute in 2006, a member of the Institute of Risk Management in 2005 and a member of the Institute of Explosives Engineers in 1991. He adds value through the delivery of tailored security and risk solutions to all the projects he works on.

Peter completed his MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster management with the University of Leicester in 2005. He is a military counter-terrorism expert with considerable experience at strategic and operational levels. He has broad commercial experience in the public and private sectors.

His expertise offers organisations the opportunity to protect their operations and create value through detailed threat, risk and consequence analysis. This includes review of systems and procedures, gap analysis and benchmarking, and the production of recommendations - with periodic review and audit. He can provide strategic policy advice, operational implementation and training.

Head of Strategy and also responsible for Business Development, including all non Built Environment work. Peter is particularly interested in working with organisations on security and risk management issues, assisting them with the development of bespoke security and crisis management strategies and the production of policies and procedures.
