By understanding and managing the risks associated with their activities organisations can protect their assets, reduce their costs and maximise returns and value in the long term.
Our risk management team initially looks at the business needs and corporate drivers of an organisation, and then analyses the threats to our clients from internal, external, malicious and accidental sources. Additionally the team reviews the current security and operational arrangements to identify areas of vulnerability and the potential consequences to the organisation.
Typically, security threats and vulnerabilities should be mapped against the business needs to identify where gaps occur and then to consider options for dealing with these risks i.e. intervention / prevention within the business environment. Ultimately there will remain some residual risk for which an organisation will have to decide on its eventual approach and appetite. The co-ordinated and informative approach of our consultants enables us to give clients an impartial platform of the feasible choices.
Our role involves talking to insurers to coordinate their requirements, while minimising ongoing premium and compliance costs.
Our integrated risk management team carries out the following activities:
- Threat and vulnerability assessments
- Risk gap analysis, determination of residual risks and mitigation options
- Loss event profiles
- Business continuity audit
- Physical security audit
- Security of information audit
- Counter sabotage review
- Counter extremism review.
